Importing USDC.e Token

Step-by-Step Guide to Importing USDC.e to Your MetaMask Wallet on the Arbitrum One Network

Last updated 1 year ago

Once you have added the Arbitrum One network to your MetaMask wallet, importing USDC.e (USD Coin on the Ethereum network) is a straightforward process. Here's a guide to help you through each step, with provisions for adding screenshots to enhance clarity.

Step 1: Accessing Your MetaMask Wallet

  • Open MetaMask: Click on the MetaMask extension in your browser.

  • Enter Your Password: If prompted, enter your password to unlock your wallet.

Step 2: Switching to the Arbitrum Network

  • Select the Network Dropdown: At the top of the MetaMask interface, find the network selection dropdown.

  • Choose Arbitrum One: Click on it and select 'Arbitrum One' from the list of networks.

Step 3: Locating the Import Token Option

  • Scroll to the Bottom: In your MetaMask wallet, scroll to the bottom of your asset list.

  • Find 'Import Tokens': Click on the 'Import Tokens' button.

Step 4: Importing USDC.e

  • Search for USDC.e: In the 'Search' field, type “USDC.e”. If it appears in the list, select it. If not, you'll need to add it manually.

  • Manual Addition: If USDC.e doesn’t automatically appear, you'll need the contract address for USDC.e on Arbitrum.

  • Enter Token Contract Address: Paste the following contract address: 0xFF970A61A04b1cA14834A43f5dE4533eBDDB5CC8 in the 'Token Contract Address' field.

  • Token Details Auto-Fill: The token symbol (USDC.e) and decimals should auto-fill. If not, enter them manually (Symbol: USDC.e, Decimals: 6).

Step 5: Completing the Import

  • Click 'Add Custom Token': Review the details and click ‘Add Custom Token’.

  • Final Confirmation: You'll see a token confirmation screen. Click 'Import Tokens' to finalize the process.

Step 6: Verifying the Token Import

  • Check Your Wallet: USDC.e should now be listed in your wallet assets on the Arbitrum One network.

  • Ensure Correct Network: Make sure you are still on the Arbitrum One network to view the token.
